Getting started with xMatix

Read your workspace

Populated Accounts workspace showing navigation, entity view, actions and synthetic demo2 rows
The workspace moves from app and view context to page actions and a populated, controllable record list.UI captured
  1. 1

The top bar names the active app and links to its primary work areas.

  2. 2

The breadcrumb and heading identify the current entity view; the chevron switches views.

  3. 3

Ask AI opens permission-aware assistance where the organization has licensed it.

  4. 4

Page actions such as New and Edit operate in the current entity context.

  5. 5

Synthetic demo2 rows show how names, roles, ownership and actions appear in a populated list.

The workspace is organized from broad context to specific work. The top bar names the active app and links to its major areas; the breadcrumb and large heading identify the current entity view; Ask AI opens permission-aware assistance where licensed; page actions create or edit records; and the list toolbar supplies search, filters, refresh and display choices. The grid beneath those controls is the working set defined by the selected view.

For a first session, confirm the app name, open the view selector beside the heading, practice searching and filtering, and open a record before creating anything. If a module, record or action is absent, record that exact context and ask your administrator—visibility follows licensing and access rather than every user seeing the same menu. The records shown are synthetic demo2 examples and are intentionally visible so the list, ownership columns and populated workspace can be understood as they appear in use.

xMatix is a business platform your organization uses to run its day-to-day operations — sales, field work, inventory, service, finance and more — from one place, on the web and on mobile. This section gets a new user from a fresh invitation to working comfortably in the product.

What's in this section

More getting-started pages are being published in the current documentation wave, including mobile-app setup and personalizing your views.

Who this section is for

These pages are written for everyday users. If you administer xMatix for your organization — managing users, security or configuration — the administration guide covers those topics, and the developer section covers APIs and the command-line tools.
